I am passionate about photography and aim to create and capture special moments that in a split second will never be again.

My photography enables me to do this capturing the natural essence of a particular scene that to me is exciting.

Over the years I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge that has enabled me to understand my subjects sufficiently well to be privileged to enter their world.

As a child I have had a passion for wildlife exploring local wasteland for bugs beetles and insects, rearing unknown caterpillars to see what they emerge as. My collecting is now restricted to photographs.

Virtually all my images are photographed in situ. The only exceptions are some moths which I take from my Moth trap which I run from my garden and photograph them whilst they are still relatively docile.

Photography combines my other passion of Walking enabling me to get out into the beautiful British Countryside.

I use Nikon equipment, D200, 105mm Macro lens and 80 to 400 Zoom lens. For my Landscape work I use either 18-70mm or a 50mm.
